A board can have the authority to act and follow the proper process...and still miss an important question.
What happens next?
Before making an important decision, I encourage boards to think beyond whether they can act.
Ask:
Will this decision create a precedent?
Will it make future enforcement more difficult?
What financial impact could it have on the association?
Are there operational challenges we haven’t considered?
That’s what I mean by impact.
When boards consider Authority. Process. Impact., they’re better positioned to make informed decisions.
Authority. Process. Impact.
Three questions. Better board decisions.
